In April, Kevin Smolar, M.S. Forensic Science 2014, will present "Better Science Through Beer". This lecture will explore the historical relationship between science and beer. Many advances in science can be attributed to people looking to make better beer. The modern-day craft brewery has an intensive focus on science to keep up with an ever-competitive market. Additionally, modern brewing techniques have driven new and exciting research opportunities for the scientific beer community.
